| The liquid BCIP/NBT is the most commonly used substrate for colorimetric determination of Alkaline Phosphatase (AP) activity in membrane tests.
We offer an aqueous buffered solution containing NBT (NitroBlue Tetrazolium) and BCIP (Bromo-Chloro-Indolyl Phosphate) forming a blue/purple precipitate at the positive sites. The colour develops when AP catalyses the dephosphorylation of BCIP.
The intense blue/purple precipitate is very stable also resisting fading when exposed to light. |
