Substrate Tablets
OPD Tablets, 2 or 10 mg
OPD substrate, Ortho-Phenylenediamine, is used as a chromogen substrate in ELISA procedures.
Our standard tablets are available with a content of 2 mg or 10 mg OPD, the 2 mg tablets are also supplied as fizzing, buffer-containing tablets.
These tablets are in distilled water and you are ready within few minutes.
Our OPD tablets have a proven stability at 4 oC of at least 18 months.
In case of demands for a longer stability due to production planning, it is recommended to keep the tablets at -20 oC where they can be kept for years without decrease in performance.

DAB tablets
DAB substrate (3,3-diaminobenzidine tetrahydrochloride) is used as a chromogen substrate in immunoblotting and immunohistochemistry.
Dissolve the tablets in distilled water and you are ready within few minutes.
DAB substrate is an extremely sensitive indicator that produces a brown colour during the enzymatic degradation of H2O2.
Each tablet contains 10 mg of DAB and dissolves in distilled water in less than 5 minutes.
DAB tablets pH 5.0 is optimized for use in immunoblotting.
DAB tablets pH 7.0 is optimized for use in immunohistochemistry.

AEC tablets
AEC substrate (3-amino-9-ethylcarbazole) is used as a chromogen substrate in immunohistochemistry. AEC produces a rose-red colour during the enzymatic degradation of H2O2 by horseradish peroxidase. The tablets are fizzing, buffer-containing and each tablet contains 5 mg of AEC and dissolves in approx. 5 minutes.

Fast Red tablets
Fast Red substrate is used as a chromogen substrate in immunohistochemistry using alkaline phosphatase antibody conjugates. Each tablet contains 0.5 mg naphthol phosphate, 2 mg FAST RED chromogen and 0.4 mg levamisole, an inhibitor of endogenous enzyme activity. 1 tablet is dissolved in 2 ml buffer (0,1M TRIS/HCl, pH 8,2).
